What you should expect from your Home Inspection.

An unbiased opinion based on the comprehensive visual analysis on the condition of components, systems, and accessible areas of the home. All inspections meet or exceed industry standards. Most home inspections take approximately 2 1/2 hours to complete.  We encourage you to attend the home inspection to better understand all components on your future home.  Joining us will allow you to ask questions about the inspection. Immediately following the inspection, you will receive an on site computer generated report that covers all aspects of the home inspection. 

 

What do we inspect while we are at your home?

Exterior Inspection

  • Landscaping - Proper grading and drainage away from your home
  • Siding, trim, exterior windows & storms - General condition of each
  • Roof, chimney, flashing, valleys - Evidence of water penetration, materials, and condition
  • Gutters & down spouts - General condition and proper displacement of water
  • Driveways, patios, decks, porches - General condition of each
  • Air conditioner

Interior Inspection

  • Walls, floors, ceilings, windows - General condition of each
  • Plumbing system - All visible fixtures, pipes and drains tested for operation
  • Electrical system - Outside entrance wiring, service panel and visible wiring inspected. Random testing of outlets
  • Heating system - Visible portion of heating system and components
  • Attic system - Visible roof sheathing, ventilation, insulation and framing
  • Basement - Foundation soundness and evidence of moisture penetration
